We are proud to announce the ending of a successful job for Tafjord Kraftproduksjon AS at “Zakariasdammen” in Norway. A complete restoration of the valves, including comprehensive planning, engineering and production has been performed in collaboration with Engeset Mekaniske. The short time limit, combined with the workload has been extensive, but also rewarding and challenging.
“Zakariasdammen”, which normally contains 70 million cubic meters of water, has been drained for the occasion. Deep into the mountain, our highly qualified team has been fighting against the clock to complete the restoration of the 80-year-old butterfly valve and pipe rupture valve. Simultaneously, our machining department have worked “hands on” the project and produced and restored the required parts with leading edge precision at an extraordinary rate.
